“There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,

There is a rapture on the lonely shore,

There is society, where none intrudes,

By the deep Sea, and music in its roar.”

- Lord Byron

Yesterday I stood at the peak of a mountain, the wind and snow tearing around me and into the high places beyond. Below, in the far distance, I could see Vancouver and the steely grey Pacific in winters embrace. A strong feeling of mortality washed over me, and the sharp awareness that these moments will never happen for us again.

It’s not enough to spend our days settling for “what if’s,” or “somedays.”

Now is all you’ll ever have, until you don’t. Make big, wild stories written large with action.

We are heroes of a new mythology, in the Land of the Young.
