“Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's all right”

-The Beatles

Personal power is directly tied to personal responsibility, which most people avoid. But we all know that the seeds of greatness grow faster in the hearts of those doing work they love than in the bitter hearts of those enslaved by work they despise.

Against the backdrop of this noisy, numb, narcissistic age We must set intentions for who we are, for what roles we wish to serve, for how we’ll relate with the world. Without a vibrant awareness, we cannot connect with others or ourselves, nor can we meet the demands of the hour with full presence and power. Are you not more than your tiny worries about inconvenience? Isn’t a better life worth some struggle?

We learn that the more we are true to ourselves, the more we can connect with and contribute to the world. We must remember we are not the sum of our intentions but of our actions. We must remember that the power to direct our destiny comes only from a mindset that makes us willing to struggle through learning, effort, and growth.

We must remember that we are a solar people – and live accordingly.
